Meditation Roles

We offer three levels of leadership, each reflecting a unique depth of practice, experience, and commitment to community care.

Each role represents a unique level of experience and connection to personal practice, healing, and community care. These roles embody our commitment to creating spaces of healing, offering meditation practices that honors growth while also reflecting depth and expansiveness of the human experience.

Dharma Teacher
Dharma Teachers at Black Being bring a wealth of knowledge, wisdom, and lived experience to their teachings, offering transformational guidance to the community. This role is for those who have over 10 years of extensive practice, study, and experience as a Dharma Teacher within a Buddhist tradition.

Mindfulness Facilitator
Our Mindfulness Facilitators guide meditation with depth and intentionality rooted in Buddhist traditions, incorporating healing practices and culturally relevant frameworks. Our Mindfulness Teachers have: long-term daily meditation practice, immersive retreat experience, formal mindfulness certification, and leadership experience.

Meditation Practice Leader
Meditation Practice Leaders bring accessibility and authenticity to their practice, supporting our community by cultivating a sense of belonging and wellbeing. Our Practice Leaders help to support our weekly community classes and studio needs. This role requires: a committed practice, some retreat experience, and facilitation skills.
